Respected by his peers, he chaired the Council on Education, was a member of the National Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners and is currently a member of the New York State Board for Veterinary Medicine.

Doug has been an owner of two AAHA-accredited general practices and the managing partner of a group-owned emergency practice in the NYC suburbs.

Rich Lester, CEO and Founder of Veterinary Practice Partners, has spent his career working in human and veterinary healthcare services. His primary focus has been creating joint ventures with doctors at each of the organizations’ various locations.
