Dear Valued VPP Family,
I’m writing to share with you the incredible news that as of Wednesday, September 7th, we have officially partnered with 100 hospitals! This milestone would not have been possible without each one of you and your invaluable contribution to our company and our community. While this is a wonderful accomplishment, the true success I want to highlight is the strength and resilience of our VPP family. I’m consistently impressed and proud of our people and the admirable work you and your teams do to nourish the human/animal bond in your own communities.
Even more, I’m extraordinarily grateful that you’ve chosen to partner with us. Our community drives the success of VPP. I can’t thank you enough for your contribution.
The past few years have not been without challenges, especially the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the struggles and fears we faced, our teams never wavered in their commitment to the safety and health of each other and continued to provide top-quality veterinary medicine to our patients and clients in their time of need. Against the odds, the strength of our VPP community prevailed, and we were able to grow despite the obstacles we faced. This growth is a true testament to the compassion, heart, and skill of every VPP employee. Together, we are stronger. Together, we find success.
As we celebrate our community, I want to reflect on some of the incredible accomplishments we have achieved together over the past year:
VPP Academy: VPP Academy is a mentorship & externship program held at Viticus Center Eastern Campus – a premier training facility in Las Vegas, NV. VPP Academy identifies exceptional young veterinarians and helps nurture extraordinary clinicians through specialized attention, hands-on training, and technical competencies for personal and practice success. Since the launch of VPP Academy in early 2022, the program had 22 participants in the spring semester and another 25 participants slated for the fall semester, ranging from 2021 graduates to more seasoned doctors wanting to hone their skills. Contact talent@vetpartners.com for more information.
Staff development:
- We helped 11 of our practices host full-day dental programs, providing hands-on training to over 100 of our veterinary technicians.
- VPP partnered with Dallas College’s Distance Education Veterinary Technology program to help employees become credentialed veterinary technicians.
- Learning & Development website was launched to offer training platforms to help employees grow in their careers.
De novo hospitals: From 2021-2022, we have successfully launched 4 de novo hospitals with 4 currently under construction. Of the 4 newly launched de novo hospitals, all 6 partners are women owners.
DVM growth: We have had 59 Associate doctors promoted to partner (65% since 2020), with 73% of these doctors being women.
VPP Assistance Fund: An employee-directed fund to benefit employees and families in need. Since its inception, this fund has paid out $299,386 to 427 VPP family members
As we reach the end of summer and look toward the fall and the holiday season, I’m reminded to take stock of what I’m thankful for. Not only am I grateful for the amazing growth and development of our organization, but also honored to work with such a compassionate, caring, and hardworking community.
I hope that in the coming season, and throughout the year, you take time to be with your loved ones and find peace, joy, and love in those connections.
Congratulations to each of you on the significant accomplishment of VPP reaching 100 partner hospitals. I am forever grateful for all you’ve done to help us get here. I look forward to seeing our community continue to grow and set high standards for what veterinary medicine can and should be.
Cheers to you and the bright future of VPP.
Truly,
John McDonough
Chairman & Cheif Executive Officer
