At the start of the pandemic, VPP’s new CEO, John McDonough established the VPP Assistance Fund to support those staff at VPP Hospitals that were financially impacted by the pandemic through spouse’s job loss, the need for childcare, and other economic hardship. VPP initially raised over $75,000 from its leadership team, doctor partners, and other staff.
Over the past few weeks, we have been excited to receive support from Zoetis, Boehringer-Ingelheim (Merial) and Merck. These three organizations have made very generous contributions to our Employee Assistance Fund and we appreciate their long-term partnerships with VPP.
To date, the Fund has paid out over $120,000 to 200+ VPP staff members to help them during these challenging times. Zoetis, BI and Merck are exceptional partners not only in providing world-class care to our clients and their pets but also in helping to take care of and support all the people in the VPP hospital family. Your generous contributions to our Employee Assistance Program are yet another testament to our partnership and a very worthy cause.
