We are extremely excited to announce that our HR department was recently recognized as one of the ‘HR Departments of the Year’ for their tireless work of keeping our employees, pet owners, and their animals safe during COVID-19. Veterinary Practice Partners was honored as part of a talented, passionate group of companies who put people first when our whole world changed earlier this year!
Since March, we have:
- Started an employee assistance fund which raised over $119,000 to benefit VPP employees and families experiencing difficulties as a result of COVID-19
- Implemented an HR COVID-19 hotline to guide our partner hospitals through dealing with potential COVID cases, as well as an internal COVID resource site to keep employees informed and safe
- Facilitated a 99% return to the workplace with less than 3% COVID-positive rate in a customer-facing industry without the capability for remote work
