Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion – VPP’s plan for a path forward

We’re late to this message.

But most importantly, we as a society, profession, and company are late to making real changes.

When protests over racial injustice began across the country, we here at VPP took time to observe, with our hearts and ears open, and started discussions about what actions we can take as we strive for a path forward. While there was a lot of uncertainty in those first few weeks, one thing we were sure about is that we want to do more than simply acknowledge the issues. 

We want our employees, clients, and partners to know we’re working in the background to plan for a path forward. We’re starting with a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiative that will include efforts around Recruitment, Retention, Education and Awareness. We will share more information as we implement our plan and welcome feedback and participation in upcoming efforts. 

We stand unequivocally in support of our colleagues and clients who are black or people of color. We have no tolerance for discrimination and racism. Not only do we know that now is a time for action, we also know it’s a time to have more open and real conversations about how we can make an impact.
