Partnering Criteria
VPP is targeting practices that have:
- 2 or more full-time veterinarians
- A track record of quality medical care and revenue growth
- A market with population growth or practices with large market share
- Veterinarians interested in working in partnership to achieve clinical, client service and financial excellence
Some of the situations that VPP finds attractive include:
- A current owner that needs help growing and managing the practice but is too young to give up all the financial rewards of practice ownership.
- A current owner seeking to retire in the next 3-5 years with an associate(s) that wants some ownership but cannot afford to buy-out the current owner.
- An associate that desires to become an owner of a practice (where the owner is seeking to sell), but cannot afford or does not want to take on all the responsibilities of complete ownership.
- An owner with expansion opportunities who does not want to take on all the work and risk.
- A veterinarian that is seeking to buy a practice in a particular geographic region, but does not have the capital or want to take the risk of owning the practice 100%.
